SRE & SUPA

A group of enthusiastic and committed people from TCBC venture into the local schools each week to teach Special Religious Education, commonly known as Scripture. In most of the schools, children are taught in classes which are comprised of children from various denominations.
SRE teachers come from many local churches and work together to bring the Gospel to the children, using relevant and interesting curriculum materials.
Each year, Easter and Christmas assemblies are organised to celebrate these Christian festivals with the children and teachers. Gifted children’s speakers/artists/puppeteers are invited to present a message, which the children thoroughly enjoy.

Volunteers from TCBC run a SUPA Club each week in one of the local schools. SUPA Club (Scripture Union Primary Age) is a lunchtime club for Years 5 &  6 children. Many children willingly give up their ‘free’ lunchtime, to come and learn more about God and the Bible through games, activities, Bible discovery, and enjoy building relationships with leaders and other children.

For more information on SRE and SUPA Club, please contact Pastor Sue Smith or the church office.
